Are you passionate about early childhood education but ready to step into a leadership role? Crossroads Youth Development Ecosystem is looking for motivated, professional candidates to join our official Childcare Business Management Apprenticeship Program.
This is a hands-on, paid pathway designed for individuals who want to master daycare operations, licensing compliance, and the essential business strategies required to run or own a successful childcare facility. You will work alongside experienced administrators while gaining real-world management experience.
What You Will Learn (Curriculum Focus)

Childcare Licensing & Regulations: Learn state compliance, DCFS standards, safety protocols, and facility requirements.

Facility Operations: Master the logistics of student-to-teacher ratios, scheduling, and designing optimal learning environments.

Financial Literacy: Gain experience in budgeting, tuition structuring, grant writing, and government subsidy programs.

Team Leadership: Build skills in recruiting, training, and managing an early childhood education team.

Parent & Community Relations: Master enrollment onboarding, parent communications, and community outreach.

Requirements

Background Screening: Ability to pass a mandatory comprehensive background check and fingerprinting (State/DCFS compliance for working with youth).

Technology: Must own and operate a modern smartphone capable of running mobile communication, logistics, and learning apps.

Transportation: Reliable transportation to commute daily to designated training hubs and partner childcare centers.

Education: High school diploma, GED, or current enrollment in an approved secondary education track.
