Save Our City Trades Pre-Apprenticeships

This program combines hands-on job site training with real-world project management exposure to prepare you for direct entry into high-demand union apprenticeships and commercial construction careers.

Schedule & Commitment

• Day Shift: Monday—Friday (5—8 hours per day)

• Program Duration: Cohort-based with consistent weekly training and field placement hours.

• Weekend Commitment: 1—2 Saturdays a month may be required for community rebuilding initiatives, site preparation, or specialized safety certification workshops.

Earnings & Financials

• Paid Weekly!

• Guaranteed Performance Stipend: $19 – $27 Per Hour (Equivalent to $152 – $243/day based on shift hours).

Program Requirements

• Technology Access: Must own and operate a modern smartphone capable of running workforce logistics, safety tracking, and learning management apps.

• Physical Capability: Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet in diverse environments.

• Transportation: Reliable transportation to commute to designated construction job sites, workshop training hubs, and community projects.

• Background Screening: Pass a standard safety and background check for secure job site access.

• Safety Conscious: Commitment to strict adherence to OSHA safety guidelines and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

Qualifications for an Elite Candidate

• Strong Professional Drive: Highly motivated to learn blueprint reading, structural framing, electrical/plumbing basics, and tool maintenance.
